The Gwinnett Civic and Cultural Center
The Business in Gwinnett Expo and Job Fair, sponsored by the Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce, is slated for Thursday, August 20tht. The day-long event includes a trade show featuring local businesses, a job fair, with over 100 companies actively recruiting for positions, business building seminars, and the Chamber's monthly Business After Hours.
The event runs from 1:00 PM until 7:00 PM, and admission is free. Event highlights include:
11:30 AM at Gwinnett Center. This month's speaker is Mike Garrett, President & CEO of Georgia Power. $45 in advance, or $55 at the door.
Beginning at 1:00, local businesses provide product and service demonstrations. The business showcase is divided into sections, including technology, health care, hospitality, general business, and more.
Over 100 local companies will be recruiting and interviewing for all types of positions, from entry level to upper management.
Learn proven business strategies at one of the many seminars scheduled throughout the afternoon.
Effective Prospecting In Hard Times
1:15 p.m. - 2:10 p.m.
Few people like cold calling, but these days, acquiring new clients and growing existing accounts is critical. What are the best and most effective ways to accomplish those goals? This session will assess the best practices for growing the pipeline of new business, and equip participants with great new ideas to increase revenues, shorten sales cycles, and protect profit margins.

Learn how young professionals and the organization hYPe are shaping the future. Developed with the Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce, this seminar will teach you the ins and outs of creating & developing a successful program, areas of opportunity for involvement and will tell you why all of this is relevant and important to you being a local business in Gwinnett.
At the end of the day, join over 250 Gwinnett area business leaders for Business After Hours, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.
