The Top 10 Sales Success Insights

Sales success is a necessary requirement for any business. There is always more to know about the product, the service, the company, the prospect, the offer. Beyond all that practical knowledge and hard work, here are some insights to ensure your success. Before you make excuses to reject any of them, try them to see what results they produce for you.

1. Share your goals with your family, friends, mentors and coach.

They cannot support you if they don't know what you want to accomplish. And you can't do it all alone.

2. Create a goal poster of what you want and why you want it.

Put your goal posters everywhere you will be - 'what you think about, you bring about.' This simple fun project is the key to more success stories than I can list.

3. Consistency always leads to victory.

Some people call this repetition or follow-up. Without it, you leave $$$ on the table that you already earned.

4. Success works best when you keep your priorities in order and focus only on those priorities.

Remember the 4 quadrants in Steven Covey's bestseller, "The Seven Habits of Highly Successful People."

5. It's not where you start that counts, but where you end up. Don't look back.

Decide where you want to end up. 'Quitters never win. Winners never quit.'

6. Get excited.

Your enthusiasm, belief and energy are contagious. Be sure you give out what you want to attract.

7. Have integrity.

It is priceless to have and keep and very costly to try to reclaim once lost.

8. Keep it simple.

Gimmicks, pressure, deceit will always come back to bite you. Simple and direct will keep the doors open to you.

9. Make a new list every day of the 6 Most Important Things To Do - and complete it.

Track your sales using this one idea. You'll never go back to the old way.

10. Seek out mentors, people who are (or have been) where you want to be.

Be audacious and ask.
